Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam achieved a major milestone in T20 cricket, surpassing 12,000 runs during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
According to details, Babar Azam reached the landmark while leading Peshawar Zalmi in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League. With this achievement, his total T20 run tally has climbed to 12,074.
The prolific right-hander has also moved up in the all-time T20 run-scorers list, surpassing South Africa’s Faf du Plessis to claim the 11th position.
Babar is now closing in on a place among the top 10 highest run-getters in T20 cricket, requiring just 248 more runs to reach the milestone.
Widely regarded as one of the most consistent performers in modern-day cricket, Babar’s latest feat further cements his status among the leading batters in the shortest format of the game.
