Senior Pakistani actress Resham has strongly reacted to criticism levelled by fellow actress Deedar, intensifying a public spat between the two.
The controversy began after Deedar, during a private TV programme, accused Resham of being negative and allegedly “ruining people’s lives,” sparking debate within the entertainment industry.
Responding in a recent interview without directly naming Deedar, Resham dismissed the allegations and questioned the motives behind such remarks.
During the interview, when asked why some people appear to be jealous of her and refer to her as negative, Resham said the criticism stems from her welfare activities, particularly her practice of arranging free meals (langar).
“She has an issue with my langar work. If we are not doing something wrong, then why is she objecting?” Resham remarked.
She further took a swipe at her critic, saying that those making such claims lack their own recognition despite being in the industry for decades.
The exchange has added to growing tensions in the showbiz circle, with fans and industry figures reacting to the ongoing verbal clash.
