Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman early Wednesday morning, discussing regional developments and bilateral ties.
During the cordial exchange, the Prime Minister extended Eid ul Fitr greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the people of Saudi Arabia. The greetings were warmly reciprocated by the Saudi leadership.
The Prime Minister strongly condemned recent attacks on Saudi territory and reiterated Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Kingdom during the current situation. He appreciated Saudi Arabia’s restraint amid rising tensions and assured continued support from Islamabad.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan would always stand by Saudi Arabia, describing the relationship between the two countries as one rooted in mutual support through challenging times.
He also called for an immediate de-escalation of hostilities and stressed the need for dialogue, diplomacy, and unity within the Muslim world to restore regional stability.
The Prime Minister briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to engage all relevant parties for reducing tensions and promoting peaceful resolution of disputes.
The Saudi Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach, with both leaders agreeing to maintain close coordination at all levels in the future.
