14 Australian players to feature in PSL 11

A total of 14 Australian cricketers will feature in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, representing different franchises in what promises to be a highly competitive edition.

According to details, the number of teams in PSL has increased to eight following the addition of two new franchises, further enhancing the league’s profile.

Multan Sultans have secured the services of the highest number of Australian players, with five in their squad. These include captain Ashton Turner, Steve Smith, Peter Siddle, Josh Philippe and Lalchand Shah.

For Hyderabad Kingsmen, captain Marnus Labuschagne will lead the side, alongside aggressive all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and fast bowler Riley Meredith.

Karachi Kings will feature explosive opener David Warner and leg-spinner Adam Zampa, while Quetta Gladiators have included Ben McDermott and Sam Harper in their lineup.

Meanwhile, Islamabad United have picked Max Bryant, whereas Peshawar Zalmi will be represented by Aaron Hardie.

It is pertinent to mention that Spencer Johnson and Jake Fraser-McGurk have withdrawn from the tournament due to personal reasons.

The inclusion of a strong Australian contingent is expected to add depth and international flavour to PSL 11, further boosting its reputation as a premier T20 league.
