Plans underway to shift Civil Aviation, PAA headquarters to Islamabad

The relocation of the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority Pakistan and the Pakistan Airports Authority from Karachi to Islamabad is under consideration.

According to details, the authorities have invited companies to submit bids for the construction of a new aviation complex in Islamabad, which will house the headquarters of both organizations. The Pakistan Airports Authority has formally issued the tender, and submissions are open until March 27 through its Planning and Development department.

Once the building is completed, both Civil Aviation Authority and Pakistan Airports Authority headquarters will be relocated to the new complex. Officials estimate that the relocation process could take up to three years from Karachi to Islamabad.

The proposed Islamabad aviation complex aims to centralize operations and improve coordination between the two bodies, streamlining management and planning for the country’s civil aviation infrastructure.
