Veteran actress, host, and singer Bushra Ansari has shared important advice for young women and their parents regarding marriage, especially when considering a man who has been previously married and has children.
In a recent YouTube vlog, Bushra Ansari emphasized the importance of understanding why the man’s previous marriage ended. “It is your right to know the reasons behind the breakup,” she said, adding that while sometimes the fault may lie with the woman, it is rare. She noted that women rarely wish to leave their husbands when children are involved, whereas starting a new life may be comparatively easier for men.
Bushra Ansari also highlighted the responsibility of parents in such situations. “Parents must seriously investigate why the first marriage ended. It is better to know the truth beforehand than to regret it later. Some men do not change their negative habits, so caution is essential,” she advised.
The actress reflected on her personal experience, stating that her first marriage to producer Iqbal Ansari in 1978 lasted until 2014. “I endured a long marriage like a prison for the sake of my daughters, and only when they were independent did I take this important step,” she said.
Bushra Ansari recently remarried actor-director Iqbal Hussain, a marriage that was initially kept private.
