Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor’s appearance at RSS centenary goes viral

Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were unexpectedly seen at an event marking 100 years of the Hindu nationalist organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Mumbai, sparking widespread attention and debate on social media.

The event, titled “RSS: 100 Years of Journey – New Horizons,” is part of a two-day lecture series highlighting the organization’s century-long history and its vision for the future.

Videos of the actors attending the gathering quickly went viral, drawing attention not only for their presence but also because of the unusual nature of the occasion that brought such prominent personalities together.

Salman Khan’s attendance at the RSS Vishwan Mala ceremony on February 7 raised eyebrows, while over 900 notable figures, including scientists, industry leaders, artists, and influencers, were reported to be present. Ranbir Kapoor attended alongside filmmaker Subhash Ghai and CBFC chairman Person Joshi.

The two-day event began on February 7 and concluded on February 8 at the Nehru Centre Auditorium in Mumbai. Senior RSS leaders, including chief Mohan Bhagwat, addressed attendees, discussing social, cultural, and national issues while outlining the organization’s priorities.

Reports also highlighted the actors’ upcoming film projects. Salman Khan is set to star in Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.

Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram in Ramayan Part One by Nitesh Tiwari, slated for Diwali 2026, and is also expected to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Law and War later in the year.

The unexpected presence of these Bollywood stars at the RSS centenary event has fueled discussions on the intersection of film, celebrity influence, and politics in India.
