SIFC promotes global-standard pharma projects in Pakistan

Under the comprehensive framework of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector is being aligned with international standards, officials said, as new greenfield initiatives gain momentum in the country’s special economic zones.

SIFC’s facilitation has accelerated “greenfield industrialization,” providing a boost to modern and globally competitive pharmaceutical manufacturing. Highnoon Laboratories recently laid the foundation of a new plant under “Project Force,” designed to comply with FDA and European Union standards.

The project aims to provide state-of-the-art facilities for the production of high-quality medicines and expand access to both local and international markets. The new plant will meet international standards, further enhancing the global reputation of Pakistani pharmaceutical products.

Industry experts described Highnoon Laboratories’ initiative as a significant step for the growth of Pakistan’s pharmaceutical sector and its export potential. SIFC’s support for globally benchmarked greenfield pharma projects is expected to promote industrial development and strengthen the competitiveness of the sector.
