Shah Rukh Khan calls Salman Khan “best brother” during birthday Q&A

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has referred to fellow megastar Salman Khan as the “best brother” during an online fan interaction held on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

According to foreign media, as part of his birthday celebrations, Shah Rukh hosted a special Q&A session on social media under the hashtag #AskSRK, where fans from around the world sent him questions ranging from personal favourites to industry friendships.

Responding to a fan named Vishwajit Patel, who asked the actor to describe Salman Khan in one word, Shah Rukh replied by calling the Tiger star the “best brother”, expressing warmth and affection for his long-time colleague.
The gesture came as another reminder of the enduring bond between the two leading Khans of Bollywood, whose friendship has seen both highs and lows over the years.

The camaraderie between Shah Rukh and Salman began in 1995 during the filming of Karan Arjun. The duo later appeared together in blockbuster films such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. However, tensions arose following an argument at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in 2008, leading to a period of strained relations.

Their reunion at the Iftar gathering of the late politician Baba Siddique in Mumbai helped bury past differences, rekindling one of the most iconic friendships in the Indian film industry.

Recently, Salman Khan made a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh’s son Aryan Khan’s Netflix debut film The Bads of Bollywood, further strengthening ties between the two families.

Shah Rukh’s heartfelt remark for Salman has since gone viral, with fans celebrating the brotherhood between the two actors.
