TEL AVIV (Lord Media): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel will not accept the 15-point ceasefire agreement proposed by US President Donald Trump for Gaza. He stated in a cabinet meeting that the Israeli military will not withdraw from Gaza until all Hamas weapons are dismantled.
Netanyahu’s stance raises concerns about potential displeasure from President Trump, who is keen on achieving a peace deal in Gaza. Trump’s team had negotiated an agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas, which included the condition of Israeli military withdrawal.
Hamas has declared its commitment to the agreement and hopes the US Board of Peace will exert pressure on Netanyahu. US envoy Nikolay Mladenov stated that Israel would exit Gaza once the disarmament of Hamas is verified.
According to CNN, Netanyahu’s opposition to the US stance is primarily driven by upcoming elections. Netanyahu requires the support of far-right parties, which have been critical of his approach to the peace plan.
