Sharjeel Memon approaches NCCIA over online defamation

KARACHI (Lord Media): Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency against alleged online defamation. On August 9, he filed a written complaint regarding false and malicious allegations against him and his son, Rawal Memon.

The accusations claim that a guest house in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar, allegedly owned by Sharjeel Memon, was the site where Mir Ali Raza was reportedly tortured and killed.

Sharjeel Memon has demanded an immediate investigation into the matter, stating his full cooperation with the inquiry.

Former minister Zia Lanjar has stated that the investigation will be conducted by high court judges and emphasized the necessity of forming a judicial commission.

According to sources, responses have been received for all 14 points raised by the police surgeon.
