Pakistan’s imports from Iran surge to 1.39 bn USD

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Pakistan’s imports from Iran reached a record high of 1.395 billion U.S. dollars during the fiscal year 2025-26, marking a 12% increase compared to the previous fiscal year, sources revealed.

In June 2026, there was a 47% year-on-year increase in imports from Iran, amounting to 119 million U.S. dollars. In March 2026, imports rose by 16% to 100 million U.S. dollars. Pakistan’s reliance on Iran for imports continues to grow annually.

During the fiscal year 2024-25, imports from Iran stood at 1.241 billion U.S. dollars, compared to 1.037 billion U.S. dollars in 2023-24. In 2022-23, imports were 880 million U.S. dollars, and in 2021-22, they were 773.8 million U.S. dollars.

In the fiscal year 2020-21, Pakistan imported goods worth 518.6 million U.S. dollars from Iran, while in 2019-20, the figure was 440 million U.S. dollars.
