PM vows tech-driven livestock revolution

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the use of modern technology will revolutionize the livestock sector. Speaking at a seminar on livestock, he highlighted the immense potential in Pakistan’s livestock sector and emphasized the need to collaborate with provinces for development.

The Prime Minister noted that Pakistan is blessed with abundant resources and that farmers play a crucial role in national development. He added that due to the lack of modern technology, Pakistan lags behind in the region, despite being the fourth-largest milk producer.

Shehbaz Sharif described China as a reliable friend of Pakistan and mentioned ongoing discussions with China regarding the transformation of the Pakistan Agriculture Research Council. Efforts are underway to send an additional 1,000 agricultural graduates to China for advanced education to propel the country towards progress.

Earlier, a meeting on economic reforms was chaired by the Prime Minister, where improvements in the tax system were reviewed. He instructed the provision of facilities to businesses for increased production and exports and directed the Federal Board of Revenue to prioritize resolving issues faced by the business community.
