Disrespect towards martyrs will not be tolerated, Tahir Ashrafi

KARACHI (Lord Media): Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, extended an apology to the families and mothers of martyred soldiers, emphasizing that disrespect towards martyrs cannot be tolerated. Speaking at a press conference alongside Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah during the National Peace Message Committee meeting, Ashrafi stated that terrorists are enemies of the nation’s peace, and security forces are making sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Ashrafi highlighted that the soldiers of the Pakistan Army are not serving for a mere few thousand rupees but are committed to defending the nation with a spirit of martyrdom. He remarked that the sacrifice of martyrs cannot be compensated financially, as martyrdom is a high status and a source of pride for believers.

He further asserted that they stand with the Pakistan Army and will not allow anyone to disrespect their martyrs. Politicians should boost the morale of national institutions and security forces and not use political differences as a means to criticize these institutions.

Ashrafi noted that Pakistan is emerging as an advocate of peace globally, making national unity and solidarity crucial at this time. He urged that politics should be confined to the political arena, and no one has the right to drag institutions into political disputes.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated that Sindh is the land of Sufi saints, promoting love, tolerance, and brotherhood. The Sindh government will continue to support the National Peace Message Committee to ensure joint efforts for promoting unity, harmony, and peace in the country.
