TOKYO (Lord Media): In Japan, the number of pets has surpassed the number of children as the birth rate continues to decline. Reports indicate that companies producing baby products are now shifting their focus towards pet food and diapers.
According to reports, Japanese companies that manufacture children’s products are now creating carriers, diapers, and other items for dogs and cats. As a result, the size of Japan’s pet care industry has reached 5.5 bn U.S. dollars.
Experts say that in Japan, pets are no longer just ordinary animals but are regarded as family members, akin to children.
