Glacial melt raises water flow in Indus River

KUNDIAAN (Lord Media): The melting of glaciers has led to an increase in water flow in the Indus River near Kundiaan. Over the past 24 hours, the inflow at Chashma Barrage has risen by 22,000 cusecs, bringing the total to 240,000 cusecs, while the outflow has been recorded at 232,000 cusecs.

The water level at Chashma Barrage has reached 646 feet, filling all adjacent lakes of the Indus River. All 52 spillways of the Chashma Barrage have been opened to maintain the flow of water.
