PCB to set up modern biomechanics lab in Lahore

LAHORE (Lord Media): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to establish a state-of-the-art biomechanics lab at the National Cricket Academy. To achieve this, the services of a foreign biomechanist will be acquired.

Sources indicate that the location for the biomechanics lab has been finalized, and it will be equipped with advanced cameras, sensors, force plates, and other modern equipment.

The construction of the biomechanics lab is expected to be completed by the end of this year, which will enhance the technical assessment and performance of players, including fast bowlers.

Director High Performance Aaqib Javed stated that there is currently no modern research center in the country and the old system has become obsolete. He further mentioned that discussions are ongoing with Loughborough University in the UK to assist PCB in setting up the biomechanics lab and providing technical support.
