Farukh Khokhar sentenced to life in murder case

ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Additional District and Sessions Judge Afsha Ijaz Sufi has sentenced the main accused, Farukh Khokhar, to life imprisonment in the Majid Satti murder case. The court handed life sentences to Farukh Khokhar and two other convicts, while acquitting one accused, Waseem.

Following the sentencing, Farukh Khokhar and the other convicts were taken into custody in the courtroom. Farukh Khokhar was on bail, while the other convicts were brought from jail to the court. The court ordered Farukh Khokhar to be sent to Adiala Jail under tight security.

A large number of the victim’s family and relatives were present at the judicial complex during the verdict, alongside supporters of the convicts. Strict security measures were in place to maintain law and order.

The accused were charged with brutally murdering Majid Satti on August 23, 2022. The case was registered by the Sadiqabad police station. The deceased, Majid Satti, was affiliated with PTI and was killed while preventing a land grab. Farukh Khokhar had resigned from the Pakistan Peoples Party and joined Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.
