ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): The Pakistan Hockey Federation has delegated the selection of the national team for the Hockey World Cup to foreign coaches. According to the federation, there will be no compromise on players’ fitness.
The foreign coaches will complete fitness tests for all players and compile a comprehensive report, which will form the basis for the World Cup squad selection. Only players who are fully fit and meet the required standards will be included in the national World Cup squad.
A training camp for the national hockey team is underway in Islamabad, where foreign coaches are conducting detailed assessments of players’ fitness and physical capabilities in two daily sessions.
