Iran announces end of ceasefire MoU with US

TEHRAN (Lord Media): Iran has announced the termination of the ceasefire Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United States. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that Iran never violated the MoU, whereas the U.S. repeatedly breached the agreement. He added that Iran will not adhere to the MoU until the other party fulfills its obligations.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned recent U.S. attacks, labeling them as violations of the United Nations Charter and international laws. Tehran asserted that these attacks pose a serious threat to regional and global peace and security.

This statement follows the U.S. Central Command’s announcement that it targeted Iranian military objectives. The U.S. military claims these actions aim to weaken Iran’s capability to target commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran dismissed the U.S. stance, accusing Washington of undermining all diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region. Tehran stated that U.S. interference has disrupted international maritime trade, creating new threats to global commerce.
