LAHORE (Lord Media): A preliminary post-mortem report has been released for 10-year-old Naeema, who was found mysteriously dead in a tuition center’s washroom in Lahore’s Ichhra area. The report states that the cause of death was asphyxiation due to strangulation, with no signs of assault or force on the body.
Police reported that the washroom door was not locked at the scene, and Naeema’s younger sister was the first to open it. Naeema’s elder sister revealed that she had attempted suicide two years ago by wrapping a scarf around her neck, a claim denied by their father.
The family has alleged that Naeema was murdered and has appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister for justice. Police have collected evidence from the scene, sent it for forensic analysis, and detained three individuals, including the tuition center owner.
Police have also obtained CCTV footage and are proceeding with the investigation, considering all possible angles.
