ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has requested additional security forces from the federal government due to worsening law and order. The AJK Home Department has sent a letter to Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior, requesting deployment of 4,000 personnel from the Federal Constabulary and seven wings of the Pakistan Rangers.
The letter highlights the need for immediate security reinforcements due to deteriorating conditions, citing protest activities by the banned JKJAA as a cause of unrest.
Additionally, the letter claims that four security personnel have been martyred and 174 injured. It also references sit-ins in Rawalakot and protest activities in other districts.
