Trump and Netanyahu discuss Iran, Gulf tensions and fighter jet deal

TEL AVIV (Lord Media): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump held a telephonic conversation discussing the latest Gulf region developments, recent U.S. actions, and Israeli security matters.

According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s office, President Trump highlighted U.S. military and diplomatic activities in the Gulf. Netanyahu expressed concern over recent statements by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and emphasized the need to maintain security zones along Israel’s borders.

President Trump provided details on his meeting with the Turkish President and the fighter jet deal. Both leaders also discussed changes in the ceasefire and recent attacks in Iran.

This contact occurred as Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was laid to rest in Mashhad, and explosions were heard in Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, and other areas. The Governor of Bushehr stated that these sounds resulted from air defense system operations.

The Governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, Mohammad Younis Haqqani, confirmed explosions in the maritime area. The U.S. Central Command confirmed that U.S. forces did not conduct any attacks in Iran.
