CNN reported that U.S. officials have long been aware of potential threats against Trump, but the Israeli information pertains to a new specific plan. The Wall Street Journal also claimed that Israeli intelligence informed the U.S. about this alleged plot.
These reports emerge amid heightened military tensions between Iran and the United States, raising fears of a major conflict. Speculation has arisen over Trump’s use of a different aircraft for departure from Turkiye following the NATO summit.
The Iranian government has not immediately responded to these reports. Iran has consistently blamed Trump for the killing of General Qasem Soleimani, who was assassinated in a U.S. drone strike in January 2020.
Meanwhile, Trump stated that he is on a list of targeted individuals. The U.S. government has not officially confirmed the Israeli intelligence reports.
