ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry emphasized the invaluable sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s people and law enforcement agencies, stating that effective coordination between the federal government, provinces, and parliament is essential for lasting peace.
A parliamentary delegation from various political parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met with the Minister of State for Interior, where elected representatives held detailed consultations with the Ministry of Interior on counter-terrorism measures.
Talal Chaudhry stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the federal government is providing all possible support for sustainable peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He highlighted the necessity of national consensus and a joint strategy to defeat terrorism, emphasizing the crucial role of parliament in ensuring peace, stability, and the eradication of extremism.
Chaudhry further noted that coordinated cooperation between the federal and provincial governments is key to overcoming the threat of terrorism, and that parliamentarians can strengthen national efforts through effective legislation.
During the meeting, delegations were briefed by NACTA, FIA, and NIFTAC on national policies related to counter-terrorism.
