WASHINGTON (Lord Media): The United States has approved the sale of Tomahawk missiles to Germany. The German Chancellor stated that the NATO meeting in Ankara was more fruitful than expected, during which a sideline meeting with the U.S. concluded with an agreement to deploy these missiles in Germany.
According to the German Chancellor, this move aims to fill a significant strategic gap in defense capabilities, while efforts continue to develop and deploy European systems within Europe.
Foreign media reports indicate that German government sources revealed the U.S. assured Germany in a letter of intent on Tuesday that approval for the purchase of Tomahawk missiles and their ground-based Typhoon launchers will be granted in August.
The report further states that details regarding the number of missiles and launchers Germany intends to purchase remain classified.
