TURKIYE (Lord Media): U.S. President Donald Trump announced at the NATO summit that the United States will grant Ukraine a license to produce the Patriot air defense system. Trump stated that the move aims to counter Russian missile attacks, which is of significant importance to Ukraine. The U.S. has historically opposed the production of Patriots in foreign countries, but this announcement marks a significant shift in U.S. policy.
During the summit, the U.S. criticized European partners for attempting to gain control over Greenland and for not supporting war in Iran. At the conclusion of the summit, Trump praised the increase in European defense spending and insisted that Europe should take more responsibility for its own security.
Trump commended efforts to meet NATO’s defense spending goals. He asserted that the U.S. should control Greenland, to which Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen responded that her country is ready to defend every inch of NATO.
Trump labeled Spain as a formidable partner within NATO and reiterated threats to sever trade ties.
