MUMBAI (Lord Media): Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘King’ has become the most expensive project of his career with a hefty budget of 450 crore rupees. This budget excludes the costs of promotion, printing, and Shah Rukh Khan’s personal fee, surpassing his previous blockbusters ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’, which had budgets of 400 crore and 350 crore rupees respectively.
The filmmaking journey began in May 2025, and over 150 days of shooting have been completed across various global locations. Filming is expected to continue until August 2026.
The film will feature international-standard action scenes supervised by experts in their fields, with VFX managed by Shah Rukh Khan’s own production house.
Sources associated with the film state that ‘King’ was initially planned as a regular action thriller, but Shah Rukh Khan and the director’s grand vision transformed it into a large-scale action film.
Shah Rukh Khan is set to return to the big screen after three years, eager to provide his fans with an exceptional cinematic experience, investing heavily in each action sequence.
