LAHORE (Lord Media): Lahore Metro Bus Service has introduced a special fleet for women, with five Speedo buses now operational on the metro track to exclusively serve female passengers. The Department of Transport and Mass Transit has allocated these buses specifically for women.
Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan stated that the additional buses aim to protect women from harassment in crowded conditions and facilitate easier travel. This initiative was swiftly implemented following the Chief Minister’s directives.
The provincial minister further mentioned that additional metro buses will soon replace the Speedo buses to enhance services for women.
