NEW YORK (Lord Media): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the UN headquarters to discuss regional and global peace. The meeting focused on Pakistan’s mediation efforts to resolve conflicts in West Asia and the country’s contributions to UN peacekeeping missions.
Naqvi emphasized that despite challenges, Pakistan has demonstrated responsibility in promoting regional peace and stability, with Field Marshal and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif playing a crucial role. He stressed the need for realistic mandates and resources for the success of peace missions.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres praised Pakistan’s contributions to global peace and security, thanking the country for its long-term support in UN peacekeeping missions.
