LHC orders release of man allegedly confined for property

LAHORE (Lord Media): The Lahore High Court has ordered the release of Nasir Khan Dulatana, who was allegedly declared mentally ill by his children for financial gain. The court heard that Dulatana had been admitted to a mental health rehabilitation center to seize his valuable land.

During the hearing, Justice Farooq Haider of the Lahore High Court instructed Shadman Police Station to present the abducted Nasir Khan in court. Advocate Sughran Gulzar, representing the petitioner Amir, argued that Dulatana owned valuable commercial land in Luddan Vehari, which his children attempted to acquire by forcibly admitting him to the center.

The court was informed that Nasir Khan had agreed to sell 8 acres of land for 280 million rupees on June 19, 2026. Subsequently, on June 28, his children admitted him to the Willing Ways Center.

After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the recovery of the abducted individual, leading to Nasir Khan Dulatana’s release from the rehabilitation center.
