ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): The Excise Department of Islamabad has deposited a record revenue of 25.43 billion rupees into the national treasury for the fiscal year 2025-26. According to the department, this income was collected from various sources, including vehicle registration fees, road tax, hotel tax, and professional tax.
The data reveals that the department collected 19.13 billion rupees from excise duties and 6.30 billion rupees from other taxes. The Director General of Excise Islamabad stated that several modern and citizen-friendly policies were introduced during the last fiscal year, yielding positive results.
He mentioned that the significant increase in revenue is evidence of the growing trust citizens have in the Islamabad Excise Department. The department aims to continue its efforts to ensure transparency, convenience, and effective service delivery in the future.
