Karachi (Lord Media): Pakistan’s red-ball cricket team head coach and former Test captain Sarfaraz Ahmed stated that Babar Azam was appointed as captain after consultation and consent. Speaking to the media at Karachi Press Club, Sarfaraz Ahmed expressed his aim to perform well in the two-Test series against the West Indies.
He mentioned that there are also expectations for better results in the three-match Test series against England. Both series are crucial as they are part of the ICC Test Cricket Championship.
The red-ball head coach highlighted that the national training camp scheduled in Islamabad will focus on further improving skills, with a keen eye on correcting mistakes and shortcomings through practical measures.
Sarfaraz Ahmed expressed hope that under Babar Azam’s leadership, the Pakistan cricket team will deliver better results with greater unity and enthusiasm. He also noted the significant difference between past and present journalism, emphasizing the importance of focusing on performance rather than personal criticism.
