Lahore (Lord Media): A flight from Tehran to Lahore operated by an Iranian airline was unable to take off due to a lack of landing clearance. Aviation sources indicated that the flight was scheduled to arrive in Lahore this morning.
Airport sources revealed that this is not a regular flight but a special (extra) one, which requires authorization from the Foreign Minister or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Despite receiving a letter from the Iranian government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ approval is still awaited to allow the Tehran flight to land. According to airport sources, the special flight’s clearance is contingent upon the ministry’s approval.
