Jamaat-e-Islami seeks mediation in AJK crisis

Islamabad (Lord Media): Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman stated that Jamaat-e-Islami has no agenda and hopes for mediation in Azad Kashmir. Discussing the current political situation in Azad Kashmir, he expressed the party’s willingness to mediate and ongoing efforts in this regard.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman emphasized that serious negotiations could persuade protesters and resolve issues amicably. He stressed that public anger should not be directed against Pakistan but rather at addressing systemic flaws.

He criticized statements by ministers claiming to have ten seats secured, stating such remarks deteriorate the political environment. He noted that progress on the issue of twelve seats in Azad Kashmir is possible through dialogue, and it’s not an issue that the Joint Action Committee cannot be convinced of.

The Jamaat-e-Islami leader reiterated that the party has no personal or political agenda in this matter, and if Allah wills, a positive path will emerge through negotiations and mediation.
