Islamabad (Lord Media): Flour prices have surged nationwide, with the maximum price of a 20-kilogram bag reaching Rs2,900, according to the latest data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
Karachi recorded the highest prices, where a 20kg flour bag is being sold for up to Rs2,900. In Islamabad, Quetta, and Khuzdar, the price has reached Rs2,800, while consumers in Peshawar are paying up to Rs2,750.
In Rawalpindi, the price is up to Rs2,747, followed by Hyderabad at Rs2,740 and Bannu at Rs2,700. Sukkur sees prices up to Rs2,560 and Larkana at Rs2,500.
In Multan, the maximum price is Rs2,420, with Gujranwala and Bahawalpur at Rs2,400. Sialkot and Faisalabad have prices of Rs2,333 and Rs2,300 respectively.
Lahore and Sargodha have prices up to Rs2,250 and Rs2,240. The PBS data highlights Karachi as the most expensive market for flour.
