Tehran (Lord Media): Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council and former President, stated that the Strait of Hormuz provides Iran with an exceptional strategic advantage during conflicts, which he described as its nuclear weapon. Speaking to Iranian news agency Tasnim, Medvedev emphasized that Moscow is prepared to continue its strategic partnership with Iran even after any conflict with the United States and Israel.
This statement was made in Tehran where Medvedev led the Russian delegation attending the funeral and burial of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He asserted that the Iranian nation will emerge victorious against the United States and will not succumb to pressure.
Medvedev further expressed that Russia shares Iran’s grief over the Supreme Leader’s martyrdom, which has united the Iranian people. Additionally, the Russian delegation met with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasizing the need to expedite the implementation of Iran-Russia strategic agreements.
