Global leaders attend Khamenei’s memorial

Tehran (Lord Media): Leaders and delegations from various countries attended the memorial ceremony for Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The participation of Gulf delegations, including Saudi Arabia, is seen as a significant diplomatic gesture in the context of the current Middle Eastern situation.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral rites were held at Tehran’s Grand Imam Khomeini Mosque, attended by heads of state, foreign delegations, and Iran’s top military and political leaders from around the world.

A high-level delegation from Pakistan, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, attended the ceremony. The delegation included officials such as Ayaz Sadiq, Ishaq Dar, and Bilawal Bhutto.

India also sent a high-level delegation, including Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain and Congress leader Salman Khurshid.

According to Iranian officials, after the special ceremony for foreign delegations, public events have now commenced. The doors of the Grand Mosque have been opened to the public, where millions of mourners are expected to arrive.
