Court sends former Yellow Line project director to jail

Karachi (Lord Media): Significant progress has been made in the Yellow Line corruption case as former project director Zameer Abbasi has been ordered to jail by the court.

During the hearing of the Yellow Line corruption case in the provincial anti-corruption court, Zameer Abbasi was presented after completing his remand. The court ordered him to be sent to jail on judicial remand.

During the hearing, Zameer Abbasi informally spoke to journalists, stating that instead of uncovering the truth of the case, emphasis is being placed on protocol. He claimed that there was no financial corruption in the Yellow Line project.

During the investigation, Zameer Abbasi revealed that he was asked 128 questions, but repeatedly questioned about the real issue. He claimed that the anti-corruption police themselves are unaware of the nature of the case.
