Ghalibaf hits back at Trump’s comments on Iran’s food situation

Tehran (Lord Media): Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has strongly reacted to U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments on Iran’s food situation. Ghalibaf dismissed Trump’s claim that Iran would need to purchase food from the United States in the future.

In an interview, Trump asserted that Iran requires corn, wheat, and soybeans, which only American farmers can supply. In response, Ghalibaf sarcastically noted on social media platform X that over 40 million Americans rely on food stamps, yet Trump labels another nation as hungry.

Ghalibaf stated that Trump’s claims are not based on reality but rather reflect his own country’s situation. He added that Iran’s resources and decisions are its own, and it would be better for Trump to focus on addressing food scarcity issues in the U.S.
