Young Indian cricketer to use separate dressing room

London (Lord Media): India’s 15-year-old cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be required to use a separate dressing room during the T20 series against England. This arrangement is in accordance with the safety regulations of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which apply to players under the age of 16.

These regulations allow Vaibhav Suryavanshi to be present with the Indian squad during matches and team meetings, but he will be provided a separate dressing room for changing clothes and other related activities. This rule will be enforced throughout the five-match T20 series being played in England.

Reports indicate that similar regulations will be applied during the matches against Ireland in Belfast. The Indian team has been allocated three separate rooms in the stadium pavilion for this purpose, and the team management has been informed of the rules.

According to an ECB spokesperson, since this is an ICC jurisdiction event, ICC safety protocols will be enforced, along with the ECB’s Safe Hands policy. The cricket regulator is in contact with the Indian team’s liaison officer to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s parents will accompany him throughout the tour. Due to his young age, his parents will stay in the same hotel as the Indian team. The Indian Cricket Board will cover their expenses.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has previously been part of the dressing rooms of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, India A, and domestic cricket teams. His potential debut could break the record for the youngest male cricketer for India.
