Eight Iranian fishermen, rescued by the British vessel MMA Valour after their boat ran aground, have been successfully repatriated from Karachi to Iran, announced Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, along with relevant authorities, coordinated with Iranian and UK counterparts to ensure the safe transit and prompt return of the fishermen to their homeland.
Pakistan appreciates the trust placed by Iran and the cooperation of all stakeholders, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in facilitating the safe return of the Iranian nationals.
