Israeli forces to withdraw from South Lebanon

Beirut (Lord Media): Under U.S. pressure, Israeli forces have been compelled to withdraw from South Lebanon. Israeli media reports that Israeli and Lebanese teams will negotiate to determine withdrawal points along the Blue Line.

According to the report, the occupied areas in South Lebanon will be handed over to the Lebanese army in phases. Iran had set a condition for a complete ceasefire in Lebanon and Israeli withdrawal before engaging in talks with the United States.

Following the first round of talks between Iran and the U.S. in Switzerland, a joint statement was issued by Pakistan and Qatar. The statement outlines a comprehensive roadmap agreed upon by both countries to reach a final agreement within the next 60 days.

The statement also agreed on the establishment of a special ‘Deconfliction Cell’ to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire and cessation of military operations in Lebanon. A new framework has been developed to facilitate direct contacts between Iran and the U.S.
