Switzerland (Lord Media): The first round of US-Iran negotiations, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, has concluded in Switzerland. The Iranian delegation lodged a protest against former US President Donald Trump’s threatening statements. Discussions in the initial phase focused on the situation in Lebanon and the implementation of the memorandum of understanding.

The US delegation is led by Vice President JD Vance, who mentioned that President Trump has authorized him to pursue a diplomatic path for resolving Middle Eastern issues. He expressed hope that the ongoing talks might open a new chapter in the relations between the two countries.

Pakistan’s role in the negotiations is significant, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressing optimism for positive and fruitful outcomes. Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman praised the efforts, highlighting their importance for peace in the Middle East and global economic stability.

US President Donald Trump issued threats to Iran, stating that if Iran does not agree to the deal, he would destroy the country. He also reacted strongly to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s remarks on uranium enrichment.
