Lahore (Lord Media): A man accused of attempting sexual exploitation and assault of women in Lahore’s Harbanspura area has been arrested by police. According to SP Cantt Akhtar Nawaz, SHO Harbanspura Mohsin Shahzad, Sub-Inspector Faryad, and the police team conducted the operation, taking the suspect, Abdul Rauf, into custody and transferring him to the police station.
Police stated that the victim had called the suspect to her home for spiritual healing, where he allegedly sent the family members out of the room and made inappropriate advances towards her. The suspect reportedly pressured the woman to meet him repeatedly by phone.
To assess the situation, the woman sent a decoy to the suspect, where he also attempted to assault her. A case has been registered against the suspect on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Saeem Hussain, and further investigation has been handed over to the Gender Cell. SP Cantt commended the police for their timely action.
