Riyadh (Lord Media): Hollywood actor Giancarlo Esposito has embraced Islam during his stay in Saudi Arabia, as announced by Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. According to Al-Sheikh, Esposito recited the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, and later participated in prayers at a mosque with other film crew members.
A video circulating on social media shows the actor praying in a mosque, which has rapidly spread news of his conversion worldwide.
Turki Al-Sheikh further explained that Esposito’s decision was influenced by the positive experiences he had in Saudi Arabia and his interactions with Muslims. Giancarlo praised the Saudi people’s ethics, love, and hospitality.
Giancarlo Esposito is currently in Saudi Arabia for the shooting of a major film, ‘Seven Dogs,’ which is considered an international project for the country.
Esposito is globally recognized for his iconic role as ‘Gus Fring’ in the TV series ‘Breaking Bad.’
