Parbhani (Lord Media): A tragic incident occurred at the Yeshwari Hanuman Temple in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district, India, where a collapsing under-construction pillar resulted in the deaths of 6 individuals and injuries to 18 others. The accident happened during ongoing construction work in the temple premises, which was crowded with devotees.
District administration, police officials, and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene, conducting rescue operations and transferring the injured to hospitals in Parbhani, Nanded, and RP Hospital. Authorities confirmed that all necessary medical facilities were provided to the injured.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the incident. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office described the loss of lives as deeply saddening and included prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.
Officials further stated that investigations are underway to determine the causes of the accident.
