US-Iran talks face delay amid Lebanon tensions

Islamabad (Lord Media): Pakistani Foreign Office officials have stated that the US-Iran technical talks cannot be considered postponed, with the second phase expected to commence in a few days. According to officials, an agreement between the US and Iran has already been signed, and discussions are set to begin after Muharram.

The agreement was initially to be signed by the US Vice President, Iranian Speaker, and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister in Switzerland. However, the signing level was upgraded to the US President. Following the US President’s signature, the Iranian President and Pakistan’s Prime Minister have completed electronic signatures.

Reports indicate that Israel’s bombing of Lebanon has become an obstacle in the US-Iran talks, prompting the Iranian delegation to cancel their visit to Switzerland.
