Mumbai (Lord Media): Renowned Indian singer Sonu Nigam has revealed that he is suffering from pinched nerve pain. He shared a video on Instagram showing his shoulder wrapped in bandages. Nigam stated that he has undergone MRI and CT scans and is experiencing nerve tension, for which he underwent several medical tests last week.
The singer disclosed that he is enduring severe pain during treatment, and physiotherapy sessions are quite challenging. To cope with the pain, he is using painkillers, which are causing a heaviness in his throat.
A pinched nerve occurs when excessive pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues such as bones, muscles, tendons, cartilage, or ligaments. This pressure disrupts the nerve’s normal function, causing pain, tingling, and other uncomfortable sensations. It commonly occurs in the neck, lower back, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
