Lahore (Lord Media): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced attractive financial incentives for players excelling in Test cricket. Under this new policy, players will have the opportunity to earn millions of rupees annually.
According to the PCB’s plan, players in the A and B categories can earn over 4.8 million rupees monthly and approximately 57 million rupees annually, excluding match fees. Participation in PSL and foreign leagues is also permitted, potentially raising total earnings to 150 million rupees.
Under the new policy, A and B category players will also be eligible to play T20 Internationals. Opportunities for advancement are available for players in the B and C categories as well.
To strengthen domestic cricket, match fees for top first-class cricket players are being increased. They are expected to receive up to 750,000 rupees per match.
The PCB has also decided to introduce a performance-related bonus system. Players will receive a 500% bonus on match fees for winning ICC tournaments and a 300% bonus for success in Asian Cricket Council tournaments.
